The Man

The Man Muhammad is human being
Prophet Muhammad: The Ideal Husband - III

· The Prophet,  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allah exalt his mention ), would teach his wives to deal fairly and justly: The Prophet,  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allah exalt his mention ),set a practical example in this issue, just he did in all the other values that he encouraged. This is demonstrated by his justice between his wives. Whenever he,  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allah exalt his mention ) intended to go out on a journey, he,  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allah exalt his mention ), would draw lots between them to see who among them would accompany him on the trip. This was narrated by his wife `Aa’ishah, may Allah be pleased with her. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim] His,  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allah exalt his mention ), dealing with them justly would certainly have been a more influential in instilling the quality of justice in them.

Prophet Muhammad: The Ideal Husband – II

· The Prophet,  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allah exalt his mention ), would teach his wives to guard their tongues:Due to the numerous harms of the tongue, the Muslim husband should instruct his wife and teach her how to guard her tongue and use it appropriately. Two of the most destructive diseases of the tongue which a husband should be especially wary of are backbiting and tale-bearing. The Prophet,  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allah exalt his mention ), was very keen to protect his wives from any such diseases and would immediately correct them and instruct them in this regard.‘Aa’ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, said, “I said to the Prophet  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allah exalt his mention ) ‘Such and such a matter of Safiyyah is sufficient for you (meaning that she was a woman of short stature).’ He  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allah exalt his mention ) said: ‘You have uttered a statement that would pollute the (entire) sea if it were mixed in it.’”

She, may Allah be pleased with her, further stated, “I once imitated a person in his presence and he said:‘I would never like to imitate anyone, even (if I was paid) such and such an amount (for doing so).’”[Abu Daawood and At-Tirmithi]

Prophet Muhammad: The Ideal Husband - I

The family in general and the wife in particular is a precious trust and great responsibility that a Muslim must shoulder and never neglect. In this matter, just like in all others, the Prophet,  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allah exalt his mention ), is an example for all husbands in the way he treated and nurtured his wives.

The Prophet,  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allah exalt his mention ), encouraged people to nurture their families; he,  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allah exalt his mention ), said: “Allah will ask every person about those under his guardianship. (He will ask) whether he protected and preserved them, or squandered them; (this is) the extent to which He will ask man about his family members.”

What did the Prophet,  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allah exalt his mention ), do with regard to nurturing his wives? How did he,  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allah exalt his mention ),, educate them, enjoin them to do good and forbid them from doing evil? What was his manner and method in talking to them and being kind to them? These questions are answered below.

Prophet Muhammad's manners and disposition

Allah Says (what means): "By the grace of Allah, you are gentle towards the people; if you had been stern and ill-tempered, they would have dispersed from round about you" [Quran, 3: 159]

About himself the prophet  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allah exalt his mention ) said: "Allah has sent me as an apostle so that I may demonstrate perfection of character, refinement of manners and loftiness of deportment." [Maalik and Ahmad]

The Prophet Muhammad: A Mercy for all Creation

Allah's Messenger  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allah exalt his mention ) was the kindest of men in the same way as he excelled all others in courage and valour. Being extremely kind-hearted, his eyes brimmed with tears at the slightest sign of inhumanity. A Companion, Shaddaad bin 'Aws, may Allah be pleased with him, reported the Apostle as saying: “Allah has commanded you to show kindness to everyone, so if you have to kill, kill in a good manner, and if you slaughter an animal, slaughter it gently.

The House During Ramadan

One of the favors that Allah could bestow upon a Muslim is to prolong his life until he reaches the month of Ramadan and then enables him to fast it and pray the optional night prayers during it. Rewards for good deeds in this month are multiplied; ranks are elevated; and Allah frees many people from the Hellfire.

The two most authentic books of Hadeeth

Of all the works of Hadeeth, Saheeh Al-Bukhaari and Saheeh Muslim are regarded as the most authentic and authoritative books, after Al-Quran. Indeed the very word "Saheeh" means "authentic". Saheeh Al-Bukhaari was compiled by Imaam (leader) of Hadeeth, Mohammad Ibn Ismaa'eel Al-Bukhaari, born 194H in Bukhaara, central Asia. He traveled at an early age seeking knowledge to Hijaaz (Makkaah and Madeenah), Ancient Syria, Iraq Egypt etc. He  may  Allaah  have  mercy  upon  him devoted more than 16 years of his life to the actual compilation of this work.

The Quran is the Speech of Allah

The Noble Quran is the eternal miracle of Prophet Muhammad  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ) because all the miracles of the prophets, May Allah Exalt his mention, ended with their death, except our Prophet  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ) whose miracle is still preserved. This everlasting miracle is The Book of Allah and His Revealed Speech that {Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or from behind it} [Quran 41:42]

The Sunnah: the second form of revelation

Allaah, Almighty, Says (what means): "This day have I perfected your religion for you and completed my favor upon you and have chosen for you Islam as your religion." [Quran; 5: 3]

Amongst the believers there is no doubt about this way of life called Islam. It is a complete way of life. The Creator of the heavens and the earth has not left anything out of this glorious religion (way of life) of His. As the above verse states that this religion is perfect and complete.

At the Gates of Paradise - I

Every now and then, the believer looks forward to something that raises his enthusiasm, motivates him to do righteous deeds, and strengthens the steadfastness in his heart. The Messenger of Allaah,  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ), said that Allaah The Almighty Says: "I have prepared for My righteous slaves what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and the mind of no man has conceived." ( then Messenger of Allaah,  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ), said ) the If you wish, recite: { And no soul knows what has been hidden for them of comfort for eyes as reward for what they used to do. } [Quran 32:17] [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]
